In a rare incident of solidarity, a team of women police in Darrang district’s Mangaldoi won everybody’s hearts as they took care of babies with their mothers being busy in the examination hall for Assam Teacher’s Eligibility test (TET) for 2019.

Many women aspirants came to the examination hall in Don Bosco High School, Mangaldoi with their babies in tow. Before they entered the hall to take their exam, the aspirants handed over their babies to the women policed personnel who were deployed there in order to guard the examination hall. The cops could be seen busy comforting the babies as their mothers appeared for the exam.

The Assam TET 2019 Exam is conducted by the Secondary Board of Education (SEBA) and the exam was held on November 10th 2019. This is the second time since 2012 that the general TET is being conducted in Assam.

The Chairman of SEBA, RC Jain, informed that a total of 23, 04, 82 candidates are appearing in the Lower Primary TET category and 16, 60, 79 in the Upper Primary TET category spread over a total of 587 centers. In order to prevent cheating, jammers were used in the examination halls.

Jain said, ”We are grateful to Assam Police for helping the candidates by taking care of their babies.”
