Italian Musicians Perform In Fishing Boats

This uplifting news comes to us from Italy.

The corona virus situation has created chaos everywhere. As a lot of countries like Italy have managed to cut down on the growing cases, the social distancing norms and wearing of masks is still to be followed. This has made it hard for people to get back to their regular life. Socializing, heading to bars, big musical events have all become a thing of the past.

Keeping this grim situation in mind, Blues musicians in the lakeside town came up with a great idea to please the music lovers. They started borrowing fishing boats and played music so that people on shore could enjoy the sound of music and feel at home. This has definitely brought smile, hope, and joy to too many gloomy faces.

The Blue musicians took guitars, microphones, amplifiers, harmonicas, and boarded on four small boats and started their journey of belting harmonious soul searching music. They stopped at different places along the shoreline of what is the largest lake in central Italy and belted out a tune or two.

The mayor of the town in the Umbria region was quoted as saying, “We felt like we were on the Mississippi Delta.” As there are no concerts likely to be held anytime soon, it was one innovative way of helping people stay connected to music.

This performance has given hope to people that music festivals can still be held and social distancing norms will be followed. People are looking at this amazing idea as a new trend for what is likely to become a norm in the coming times.

The musicians too were glad at the kind of response they have been getting from the people at large. Soon enough, if things return to normal, the scenes will improve even further.
