Muslim man decided to donate antique coin towards Ayodhya’s Ram temple being built

This inspiring news come to us from Varanasi, India.

Hailing from Azamgarh, Munshi Syed Mohammad Islam grabbed a lot of attention from people for rising above the religion divider and speaking up in favour of Ram mandir in Ayodhya.

Islam had actually left his native place in search of work around 30 years back. It was last year in 2019 that he decided to get his ancestral house in the village reconstructed. It was then that he spotted 2 ashtadhatu coins while the land was being dug for laying a new foundation for the house.

The coins have images of lord Ram, Lakshman and hanuman on one side while the other side has ram durbar etched on it. Islam decided to donate both the coins to Mahant Nritya Gopal Das who is the chairman of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Islam feels that the special coin can be sold and the trust can raise money in order to buy bricks for laying the foundation of Lord Ram’s temple in Ayodhya.

Can you imagine that in a world where we also have people who are ready to kill each other for the sake of religion, there’s also a person like Islam who has a pious heart and who thinks that religion cannot divide people.

Islam is also miffed with his wife because the latter sold off one of the coins to a jewellery shop and got jewellery in exchange of the coin. His wife was given a total of INR 3 lakhs worth of jewellery and she had not informed Islam about the same.

It feels great to see that people like Islam actually exist and he is an inspiration for not just our nation but for the entire world.
