Canadian based company is planning to use drone technology to plant trees

This inspiring news come to us from Toronto, Canada.

With the growing rate of deforestation and its impact on the environment, we already know that there is an urgent need to grow plants.

These days there have also been cases where individuals are taking huge steps towards reforestation for the betterment of the ecosystem. Similarly, a Toronto based startup company namely Flash Forest has come up with an idea to use drones for planting trees.

The company had started experimenting by using their prototype drones in early 2019 and they have already successfully planted more than thousands of tress across regions in Ontario. The drone plating technique will not only save time but also money and resources.

Working almost ten times faster than human speed of planting, these drones can plant saplings successfully and it will cost only 50 cents per sapling. This is coming to only one-fourth of what the typical planting methods cost.

The company also went forward and created a kickstarter campaign and they were elated on being successful within the first 24 hours of launching the campaign. They raised the first crowdfunding goal of $10000 and they count it as their first step towards success.

Planning to start full-fledged planting from April this year, Flash Forest has an aim to plant a minimum of 150000 trees by the end of this year. Although it is not the first time that something of this sort has been thought and done by any company but Flash Forest advisor Angelique Ahlstrom claims that it is the first time any Canada based company has come up with a concept like this.
