Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters uses his private jet to reunite mother with two sons abducted to Syria.

This wonderful news comes to us from Trinidad.

Kindness is just another “brick in the wall” of Roger Water’s amazing career after he helped facilitate an amazing reunion for a mother and sons separated for 4 years.

Felicia Perkins-Ferreira has not had a good night’s sleep on the Caribbean island of Trinidad since her two sons were abducted from home by their father. The boys, now 7 years and 11 years respectively were brought to Syria in 2014 where their father was fighting for the Islamic State. After he was reportedly killed in combat in 2017, the boys were taken to the border by their stepmom; however, they were abandoned on the wayside and ended up in a Syrian refugee camp.

A human rights lawyer named Clive Stafford Smith heard about the family’s plight and reached out to his friend for help-Pink Floyd’s co-founder Roger Waters. Waters was so moved by Felicia’s heartbreak that he hopped into his private jet to go pick her up in Trinidad and take her 6000 miles to the Syrian border so that they could attempt to fetch her children.

Felicia, who had never left Trinidad in her life, crossed the border with Roger Waters and the musician spent hours and hours anxiously waiting for the family’s return. At long last the family finally arrived near the jet around midnight. Waters could scarcely contain his relief. The boys cried with joy at being reunited with their mother and to Waters it was the perfect culmination of a daring operation.

Smith, Waters’ friend is the real hero, being the founder of Reprieve a nonprofit for human rights. He has assured everyone that his organization will do everything possible to ensure that the family could get on with a really productive and decent life.
