A circus in Germany uses holograms instead of live animals

This positive news comes to us from Germany.

Circus Roncalli was founded in Germany way back in 1976. It also happens to be the first circus in the world to use holograms of animals instead of the real deal.

The director of the circus says that most of the numbers in the show would have been done by artists and clowns. Citing the decision to end live performances by animals he says that the focus of Circus Roncalli is now on acrobatic and poetic numbers.

The paying public is thronging the road to the circus and is increasingly visiting shows where the performers can choose instead of being forced to perform. This happens to be the future of circus, a performance that everyone can enjoy and for which intelligent animals are not depicted as objects of entertainment.
