This positive news comes to us from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
An intrepid sloth was very slowly making its way across an extremely crowded Brazilian road during rush hour when a Good Samaritan stepped in to help.
50-year-old Jose Aldenizio is a self- professed animal lover and he knew in his heart that he had to save the critter from oncoming traffic. He picked up the sloth under its arms and carried it to the other side of the street.
And instead of leaving the sloth in the grass, Aldenizio held the sloth up to a nearby tree trunk. After the sloth had taken a firm grip on the tree limb, Aldenizio waved goodbye to the furry critter and much to his amazement, the sloth returned his wave.
Now if only humans were as friendly.
